The Parking Management study evaluated current on and off-street paid parking facilities and systems controlled by the City of Edmonton and provided direction into the development of new and appropriate parking bylaw regulations, strategies, and programs (including enforcement) to assist the City in managing their parking resources in a sustainable fashion. The project included comprehensive stakeholder consultation, a review of existing parking supply and demand, and an evaluation of alternative paid parking technologies. Outcomes from the study included recommendations on City Policy, revenue control equipment, and evaluation criteria for existing and future on-street paid parking The presentation to the Northern Alberta CITE section will provide an overview of the study work program and highlight the modifications currently being implemented by the City of Edmonton.
