Presentation Summary
This presentation will explore the impact that Smart Cities can have on communities and how the needs and strategies related to mobility and urban operations play a key role in how we live, work and play in our cities. Examples will be illustrated from Bhubaneswar in India and Glasgow in Scotland, and integrated with local initiatives such as the Edmonton Valley Line LRT project.
About the speaker:
Mr. Bruno Peters is a Smart City and Intelligent Transportation Systems Strategist with IBI Group, who specializes in helping Cities realize their full potential by integrating technology and urban planning. He has worked on several Smart City projects in Canada from St. Albert to London, and internationally from the UK, to India and Central America. He works with Cities as part of strategic planning and standards development for communities in the areas of mobility, citizen engagement and Smart City strategy and key performance indicators. He specializes in the areas of Smart City and Intelligent Transportation Systems planning and implementation, working for the Cities to enhance operations and the experience people have in public and private spaces. Bruno also manages IBI Group’s Intelligence Practice in Alberta and is the Deputy Regional Director for IBI Group in Western Canada. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta.
